A Physio Who Knows What A Rock Is…

… and who isn’t afraid to help you keep doing them. With over 23 years experience in competitive Irish Dance (CLRG), Dr. Teresa Drew knows what it takes to compete at the highest level - and the toll it can take on the body.

When she broke her foot twice in 2010, she had to re learn not just how to dance, but had to walk. Interactions with health care at that time led her to believe that providers didn’t just not understand what Irish Dance entailed, but didn’t have any idea of how physical the sport had become.

Shaped by this experience, Dr. Drew embarked on an educational path to realize her mission: provide excellent performance training and injury care for Irish Dancers that keeps them healthy on the dance floor. She graduated with her doctoral degree in Physical Therapy in 2019, a few weeks before placing fourth at the North American Irish Dance Championships! Ten days later, she passed the National Physical Therapy Board Examination on the first try.

In 2022, Dr. Drew launched The Dancing Doc - the premiere online program to aide Irish Dancers in injury, recovery, and performance training. In 2023, she retired from competitive Irish Dancing to focus more on her new favorite thing to do: help dancers get healthy and dance their best!

Through her program, she is able to coach dancers through the ups and downs of competing in Irish Dance, help dancers prevent and overcome injury, and learn how to dance at the most efficient and effective level. She currently works with dancers all over the world.
